Hydrogen is colourless, scentless and nonpoisonous gas. It is 14.4 times lighter than air.

It is accepted by all the scientists that the systems with hydrogen energy could provide the growing energy need of the world sustainably and by not polluting the enviroment, also it is the best system at present. Some people claim that while the electricity is the energy source of 20th century, the hydrogen energy is of 21st century.

In addition to it's usage directly in internal-combustion engine, hydrogen is useful for burning without flame on catalytic surface. However developments in the world are in the direction of using the hydrogen as fuel in fuel cell technology.

At the end of 1950s fuel cells are started to be used for space researches by NASA and in last years the fuel cells are presented in service, industry and especially transportation sector with big success. Fuel cells are used for notebooks, mobile applications like mobile phones, furthermore they are appropriate power supplies for power stations.
